The Ministry of Transport’s National Authority for Tunnels and Orascom Construction are leading the way in Egypt’s transportation revolution with the highly anticipated two-line Cairo Monorail rapid transit system. The first line—the 34-mile New Administrative Capital line—will feature 22 stations and will serve over 45,000 passengers per hour in each direction.

The second line—the 26-mile 6th of October City line—will connect the 6th of October City with Giza and the Mohandeseen district, with 13 stations along the way.
